CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FUND: FUND 2000 PHASE II

Rodeph Sholom is the spiritual home to more than 1,800 families — it is where we come together to express our Judaism, nourish our souls, celebrate our simchas and find an anchor during times of crisis. An extraordinary level of interest in all aspects of Jewish life and learning has drawn new members to our community, resulting in doubling our membership over the past 15 years.

Our growth presented us with special challenges as we look to the future. Rodeph Sholom's dynamic community expanded way beyond the limitations of our current facilities and we were faced with the challenge of assuring that we meet the demands of our growing and vibrant congregation and schools.

Together we have accomplished a great deal. Thanks to the generosity of many members of the Rodeph Sholom community, $12 million was given to Phase I of the Fund 2000 campaign, enabling us to meet the challenges of the last decade.

Phase II of the campaign supported the construction of the Schnurmacher Chapel on the sixth floor of the temple, and the creation of a Middle School for grades seven and eight at 79th Street. We are extraordinarily grateful to those individuals who have pledged nearly $18 million to Phase II of the campaign.
